TIMELESS ELEGANCE
A Whole-Home Interior Transformation in Danville, California
We’ve had the pleasure of working with Yoko Oda and her team on two interior design projects over the past ten years, transforming both of our Danville homes into beautifully designed spaces that reflect the way our family lives. Yoko’s creativity, vision, and expertise brought our homes to life with a thoughtful balance of timeless design, functionality, and personal character.
Our first project with Yoko was the remodel of our first Danville home. The project included new hardwood flooring, paint, lighting, custom cabinetry, and furnishings throughout the foyer, guest rooms, primary bedroom, office, children’s room, staircase, landing, family room, living room, and dining room.
What stood out to us from the beginning was Yoko’s genuine interest in understanding our lifestyle and how we wanted to live in each space. She approached the design process in a highly organized and thoughtful way, guiding us through space planning, material selections, color direction, and coordination with contractors and trades. Her ability to create a cohesive design throughout the entire home while improving functionality was exceptional.
Yoko also encouraged us to step outside our comfort zone with color and finishes. Some choices initially felt bold, but her confidence and design expertise transformed those areas into rich, inviting spaces that we continue to love living in.
Our second project with Yoko and her team was the renovation of our new Danville home, which became our primary residence. We engaged Yoko while we were house hunting so we could envision the potential of creating our dream home. The project involved a complete whole-house interior and exterior transformation, including new flooring, lighting, windows and doors, extensive custom cabinetry, three fireplaces, foyer, large hallway, guest bathrooms, primary bathroom, family room, formal living room, dining room, offices, guest room, primary bedroom, and full furnishings and décor.
Yoko guided every aspect of the renovation with a clear design vision, from architectural details and material selections to furniture, lighting, window treatments, and finishing touches. She created spaces that are not only beautiful and sophisticated but also comfortable, functional, and designed around the way we live.

Yoko and the team helped turn both of our houses into homes that we love living in and that visitors constantly compliment us on. From managing the meticulous design details passing between us and contractor before construction starts to presenting us with furniture and lighting, and window treatments that we fell in love with, Yoko made our renovation journeys inspiring and fun and we’ve been enjoying the results ever since.
