This house is perched up on a hill with endless views of Mount Diablo and surrounding hills in Walnut Creek, CA. The Yoko Oda Interior Design team couldn’t wait to help the clients transform and remodel their Walnut Creek home to reflect their more modern style and interiors. With the client being creative herself and a watercolor artist, Yoko really took inspiration for the design from her paintings. The home really encapsulates “Suburban home meets city sleek.” The architectural details were designed with clean lines to keep their Mount Diablo view as the focal point. The color tones were kept muted and soft while the pop of orange adds energy to the space. With their busy family, who loves to entertain, and a dog who is just as much a part of the family, we kept to easy clean fabrics and lines. The high ceilings and remodeled floor to ceiling stone fireplace make this a home that anyone would want to come to.
