MODERN FARMHOUSE
WALNUT CREEK CA, EAST BAY - REMODEL
This busy family purchased a farmhouse style home in Walnut Creek, CA in the East Bay but wanted the interior to match their more modern aesthetic while still maintaining the heritage of the house. They envisioned a space that would function well for their family and be the perfect spot for entertaining. Yoko and her team developed and designed a comprehensive whole house plan that included luxe materials, soft textures, and elevated finishes. The soft shades of gray make you feel invited yet the hint of blue adds just enough color. By using high contrast materials, layering natural wood tones, textured porcelain tiles, natural stones, and soft upholstery give a sense of warmth and visual interest. The fireplaces got a fresh look and completed the project. This space is the true definition of combined styles that are in sync with the home’s overall architecture in their family home in Walnut Creek, CA.
